Morganstein Energy Upgrade
The Morgansteins own a historic Mt. Washington residence, and few upgrades had ever been made to the home. Original windows and out-dated insulation left much of the home too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter months. We performed an energy audit of the home and recommended that the windows and insulation be addressed immediately. We searched for and found historically accurate Pella windows, replaced knob and tube wiring, and insulated the basement, attic and crawlspace. The Morgansteins can now enjoy all of their home year-round. We also informed them of a state program rewarding Green Building, and they were able to receive a rebate check from the State of Maryland for 50% of their improvement costs.
